In response to successful negotiations with the local traders’ union, Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has reduced the maintenance period for its power transmission lines in Oghi and its suburbs from 14 to 8 days.

There is already a high rate of inflation in the country, and the planned power outages by Pesco will only exacerbate this situation,” Sarbuland Khan, president of the traders union, said at a press conference in Oghi on Sunday.
A group of traders led by him engaged in a parlay with a Pesco team led by Naveed Khursheed. Fisheries Department officials have also committed to reducing routine load-shedding for commercial customers in the future.
